I have two setups for hand rests. One is this one I use with my mouse. My wrist fits precisely on it and can move the mouse with no pain for the entire work time.
Allsop (or IMAK) bead-sock wrist rests. These are used to support both hands and wrists while typing and even moving back and forth from typing and mouse use.
Get the “free form” ones withOUT the rubber base. They are like little bean bags I can toss around, move around under my hands and even elbows, forearms when I type and mouse.
These completely relieved my hands from nearly ALL the repetitive stress disorder I had developed when I had forgotten to use them for a number of months in 2021.
Instead of spreading one out in front of the key board, I use two of them and place them bent in half, one under each hand in front of the key board.
They move around that way, I can scoot one of them over in front of the mouse-wrist support I also use.
And while I’m listening instead of typing things at the computer, I can pick each one up and play with it like a stress reliever gadget! They massage my hands doing that and keep my hands and wrists doing completely NON repetitive things!
Be sure you’re using the correct chair and you’re good to go!
